  • Abstract & Database all leases in Illinois highlighting key lease terms and future lease liabilities.
  • Explore consolidation of satellite offices/campus' to one key location.
  • Work with local municipalities to identify long term incentives for each facility.
  • Maintain no business interruption throughout all facility relocation(s).

Strategy:

  • Created specific web based database program that allowed UIC real estate department to analyze any leased facility.
  • Compare purchase, build-to-suit and lease scenarios to determine low cost - off campus - alternatives.
  • Implement phased relocation plan to allow all leases to naturally expire prior to relocation.
